Blue Christmas at FPC
First Presbyterian Church will be joining with Grace Episcopal Church and Emanuel Lutheran Church this year for a Blue Christmas service, which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11 at FPC at 7 p.m. A Blue Christmas service, sometimes called a Silent Christmas service, is a service for people who aren't feeling particularly festive at this time of year, whether that is due to the loss of a loved one, or stress, family estrangement, job loss, depression, whatever it is, the Blue Christmas service gives people space to recognize those emotions, to name them, and to bring them to Jesus.
Chapel Service
Our 8:15 worship is a small, intimate service held in the chapel, on the main level just inside the church’s east entrance. It includes hymns sung from the hymnal, led by our song leader and accompanied by our organist, scripture readings, and a sermon by Pastor Christy.
Worship @ 9
The best first step is sometimes through the front door. We would love to meet you and introduce you to our church family. There is a place for everyone here at FPC. We have a worship experience to suit all ages and styles. Worship at 9 is a contemporary worship service that takes place in the sanctuary.
Traditional Worship Service
Our 10:30 service is a more traditional worship experience. Held in the church’s main sanctuary, this service includes a full choir (except during the summer), a children’s sermon (after which children may go to KidZone), scripture readings, related videos, and biblically-based sermons by Pastor Christy.

Sunday School
We offer two Sunday morning classes - one for adults and one for youth (ages 12-17).
The class session will begin October 5 and will run until November 9.
Both classes will explore the topic “Love God, Neighbor, and Enemy” and will look at the relationship between love and justice, and will discover a road map for following Jesus’ great commandment to show love to God, our neighbors, and our enemies.
The adult class is taught by Pastor Christy and meets in the large conference room, on the east side of the church, across from the office. The youth class, taught by Jenny and William Wyatt, will meet in the Refresh Café, on the lower level just inside the east entrance.
